Avery came along with me to a photoshoot the other day. He was quite excited to finally go with mama to work. He's always wanting to "borrow" my camera to take pictures, so I thought he would enjoy tagging along.
After I finished working, Avery wanted to cool off in the water at the park we were at. I love these pictures of him. He's so full of life and soaks in every moment he can!

dreams {new adventures}
We all have dreams in life. Sometimes those dreams seem unreachable. Sometimes it's money, sometimes timing, but sometimes it's our lack of confidence and the fear of failure holding us. Accomplishing my biggest dream had nothing to do with money or timing; it was all fear holding me back.
The one question lingering in my head for years now, "would I be good enough?" Certainly a question I can't answer, but the only question I needed answered.
Until now. I did it! I bit the bullet and went for it.
I want to introduce to you all my new adventure:

Insta-Friday
I'm linking up with Life Rearranged today for Insta-Friday:
{1} Chris and I attended a wedding of some dear friends the weekend before last
{2} My final cake in my Wilton cake class
{3} Evi on the way to the vet. Scare'd'y cat!
{4}
Evi and Avery on the way home. Evi was a little more calm and Avery
thought it was way cool for the cat to ride in the car, in his lap
nonetheless.

{5} Evi "nursing" on Leroy who is our male cat and who also isn't even her biological father.
{6} Avery sleep this morning. Why do they have to be so sweet when they sleep?

It's No Secret...
...that I love taking pictures. When you have a cute little love muffin to take pictures of, how could you not want to take a million pictures. I love capturing Avery doing whatever. With him being a very busy two year old, I've given up on trying to get the perfect shot while snapping pictures, but focusing more on getting Avery in "action." I like this approach much better for the simple fact I want to remember what he did at two years old, not how well he sat and smiled. He's adventurous, wild, lovable, fun, carefree, and I want to remember every bit of it.

Avery makes my days so much better. No matter my day, Avery telling me, "I lud-j-u mama" can make me weak at the knees and my heart melt to the floor. When they say there's a special bond between a mother and a son, they weren't kidding. This kiddo and I are bonded for life and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Spring Has Sprung
I love spring. It's not too hot, not too cold. Besides the pollen, I can't think of any reason why I don't like spring. It's just a happy time of year.
One of the best parts about spring are the pretty blooming flowers. Our Cherry Tree is in full bloom and I enjoyed taking pictures of it the other day.

It's All In How You Look At Things
I love to edit pictures. I could sit and do it for hours. Granted I don't have the nicest camera or the best editing program, I make do with what I've got. Photography is something I have always enjoyed.
I love how you can take one picture and then edit it several different ways and it looks like completely different pictures.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Yes, the actual photo is a little blurrier than I prefer, but I loved the picture anyway and gave it ago. I like the way they turned out.
Here is the straight out of the camera picture:
Here are the creations I came up with:

The Beginning of our Christmas Pictures
We had a wonderful Christmas.
Our stockings were hung by the Chimney with care and we all prayed really hard that we had been good enough for St. Nicholas to stop by here!
This was my sweet Avery's 3rd Christmas. Can you believe? I sure can't.

We started Christmas celebrations by baking cookies.

Avery loved baking! The mess was very minimal, so I was impressed!
We then decorated our Christmas tree and, well, somebody didn't like being told not to stand on the step stool with out help.

It all worked out o.k. and the tree got decorated and Mr. Pouty pants decided to be cheerful about Christmas again.

We went to Longhorns to eat dinner Christmas Eve. Everyone was pleasant and we had a wonderful time. We wrapped up the night getting hot chocolate and riding around looking at all the beautiful lights.
Avery slept in a good bit Christmas morning, which was nice for Santa because (s)he had been up late and was very, very tired.
Avery doesn't "get" Santa yet, but when I told him Santa had come he was a very happy little boy.
The look on his face was priceless when he walked into the living room and saw all his new toys!

More pictures to come!!!
