Labor Day Weekend Recap

We had an awesome Labor day weekend. It was most certainly a bittersweet one, but wonderful nonetheless. We spent Friday night, at home, relaxing. I do not know about you, but sometimes it is just plain nice to do absolutely.nothing.

Saturday morning Avery was wide eyed and bushy tailed and was ready to play. His Paw-Paw was cutting grass and of course that's where he wanted to be as well. So Avery and I spent most of the early morning outdoors. Avery has a John Deere tractor that he LOVES to ride on. He enjoys following his Paw-Paw as he cuts the grass. A precious sight to watch! It was a beautiful morning and I could not help but break out my camera and try to get some good shots. I got quite a few that I believe I'm going to enlarge and frame for my dad's office. He's a landscaper and I thought it would be so sweet to have pictures of Avery on his tractor in his office. He currently has an old water painting I did back in grade school, I'm thinking it's time for an upgrade.

Saturday afternoon we went to my sister's boyfriends going away party. Mason left for the Army last night. We are so very proud of him and were so glad we could celebrate this time with him. The party was at his grandmothers up in the mountains and the weather couldn't have been nicer. Avery had a blast in the pool and I enjoyed the fellowship with others. It was most certainly a bittersweet day. We all miss him so much already, but couldn't be more proud of his decision!

Avery and I took off to my cousins house after the going away party. We don't see her much since she moved off, but we had a lot of fun! Emma, my cousin Amanda's little girl, and Avery played so well together. We cranked up the iTunes and let the kids dance and dance. On Sunday we went to their neighborhood pool and had a wonderful time. My child has no fear of water. A bit scary, but I'm glad he doesn't scream at the sight of water. We strapped on his floaties and he took off. Jumping off the diving board was the highlight of his day, I do believe. Like I said, no fear.

On Monday, we headed to a mall in Amanda's area. I've got a girls night out next Saturday and so I was trying to find a cute outfit that didn't scream "I'm a Mama". I found a nice pair of jeans on sale (50% off!) and a cute top that is cute and classy.

I haven't finished uploading our zabillion pictures from the weekend. However, I'll leave you with this little preview...
