MMM MMM Good

I am always looking for something different to cook.
A great place to find recipes is on the boxes of the food you eat.
I went to the grocery and had a weird craving for bow tie pasta.
Muller's pasta always has great ideas for recipes.

I went home and cooked their suggested recipe that night and it was delicious, so I thought I would share it with you!

Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Bow-Ties

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Mueller's Bowtie
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 small red bell peppers, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (5.2 to 6.5 ounce) container garlic and spice soft spreadable cheese

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken. Cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes, or until chicken is lightly browned. Remove chicken and add broccoli, red peppers and chicken broth. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 5-7 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  3. Return chicken to skillet. Cook 1 minute longer. Remove from heat. Add cheese then pasta, combining gently until cheese is melted and smooth.

Fourth of July Part 2

I have pictures coming, but haven't had time to upload them off my camera yet. As you all might be wondering, Avery hated the fireworks. Not just hated, despised them. Poor child.

We went to a local shopping center parking lot that hosted a band this year and has tons of people attending to watch the county fireworks. When the fireworks started, it startled him and he ran to my sister. Then a few really loud ones came and he jumped into my arms. Poor thing would not even look at the fireworks. Bless his heart when he turned around in my lap to avoid looking at them, there were more off behind me going off at the country club. He remained calm enough for us all to enjoy the pretty colors in the sky. He never did turn around to look at the ones we went to watch, but he did experience the ones in the distance.

Maybe next year he will enjoy them more.

Happy 4th of July Part 1

Here is a peak of Avery's first 4th of July.
Photobucket
As you can tell, he was content, but really didn't understand the fireworks.

We are going tonight, to watch the fireworks. I am hoping for another content 4th of July this year. Who knows. He doesn't always like loud noises, but then sometimes nothing bothers him. So it could be interesting. I'll certainly post about it, tonight, or maybe tomorrow. Who knows, but I will, you know, post about it!

I hope you all are having a wonderful 4th of July, so far.

Be safe. Be good. Have fun. Be proud to be an American!

My New Best Friend

I have a new best friend!

Vinegar! Yes, I will say it again, V-I-N-E-G-A-R!

Why?

If you are anything like me, you get distracted easily due to a hectic life! Unfortunately, my laundry suffers from my attention deficit disorder. Not that I don't put the laundry in the washing machine, I just forget to get it out! If any of you have ever done this, you know the horrid smell that comes with forgetting to get the laundry out of the washer getting distracted with other house chores.

Well I found this new little trick! Add 1 cup of vinegar and your normal amount of detergent to the horrid lovely smelling load of laundry and V.I.O.L.A. it will smells so fresh and so clean!

This trick also works on children's clothes. You know, the ones were your toddler has drooled so much on that they smell, well, like soured drool. Lovely smell isn't it. Well this trick works great! I tried it today!

I hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July! I better be off to get ready for the fireworks tonight!

Catch you guys on the flip side!

My New Endeavor

I have been praying for months on how to increase my income.
I looked into many direct sales companies and when I finally thought I found one, something just wouldn't feel right.
So I prayed, and prayed some more.
I kept coming back to one company, Thirty One.
I loved their products, my experience at their parties were wonderful, and I didn't feel pressured into anything.
However, I was worried about being that nagging sales representative, but I've never felt that way with Thirty One.
They are a fairly new company and a lot of people haven't even heard of them. Their products are so wonderful and they sell themselves with their unique patterns and unique personalization opportunities.

So, as of last Friday, I am an official Thirty One consultant.
I am so excited!
I have 2 bookings already and someone interested in doing a catalog party.

I feel this is going to be a wonderful endeavor and I'm am so excited to be a part of the Thirty One team!

Please e-mail me at CristinSavage@aol.com to book your party today!
